Raphael Kalandadze

I build and research AI agents, from experiments to production.

Open to research collaborations

I’m an independent researcher and co-founder & CTO at Wandero, where I build production agent systems and lead the engineering team.

I co-founded Tbilisi AI Lab in 2023. With a small team, we built the data and training pipeline from scratch and trained Kona, a 12B Georgian LLM. That included collecting, cleaning and processing data, continued pretraining, fine-tuning, and DPO. We open-sourced the models and datasets.

I’m a PhD student in Computer Science at Georgian Technical University. I love research, learning new things, and turning experiments into working systems. My personal agentic operating system is one of the places I keep tinkering.

From Georgia, now in San Francisco. O-1 visa holder.
